Vote in the primary on May 5!

Voting in the primary is primary to our democracy! Less than 12% of registered voters participated in Hamilton County’s 2022 primary election. That means a tiny percentage of voters decided who went on the midterm ballot.

Voting in every election is important, but this May the primaries in Indiana are especially significant. Why?

Many Republican legislators who voted against redistricting are facing primary challenges.
A record number of Democrats are running in Statehouse races.
Who you vote for in the primaries will show up on your November ballot.
AND national and state funding groups look at primary votes as a barometer of how serious a candidate is. That affects how much financial support they get.

Pledge “No business as usual” on Friday, May 1

Tomorrow, we rally, march, and take action. “No work, no school, no shopping.” Join the May Day coalition, AFL-CIO, and NEA in demanding:

Tax the rich: Our families, not their fortunes, come first.
No ICE. No war. No private army serving authoritarian power.
Expand democracy, not corporate power. Hands off our vote.

May Day is a democracy action. It is an immigration action. It is a healthcare and schools and climate and corruption action.

Keep telling Congress: Trump’s war has to end

Despite Trump’s inconsistent declarations of victory, ceasefires, or stated willingness to commit war crimes, the war on Iran drags on. Thousands of lives have been lost across the region; the global economy has been rocked; and the cost of fuel, housing, and groceries has skyrocketed for American taxpayers.

The American public strongly opposes this unjust war. It endangers people abroad and raises the cost of living at home to fund it. The administration expects $200 billion in increased funding, and some GOP members want to cut healthcare to pay for it.

Contact your legislators now and tell them to end this illegal war on Iran.
